The History of Leschke-Puffer Insurance

Leschke-Puffer Insurance Agency was formed in 1955 when Emil Leschke and John Puffer purchased the Fuller Agency and the Wilson Agency of Putnam, Connecticut. John Puffer purchased Emil Leschke's interest when Emil passed away in 1963. John Puffer and Thomas Foley continued operating the business at 170 Main St. when Gerald Stevenson joined the agency in 1964. Charles Puffer joined the agency in 1975 and became president when John Puffer passed away in 1984. The agency remains located at 170 Main St. in Putnam, Connecticut. Charles Puffer CPCU, Christopher Vaillencourt, and Maurice Ouellette as licensed agents continue operating the agency. Leschke-Puffer Insurance Agency represents several insurance companies and sells and services all lines of insurance.
